You know the saying, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans”, I told God my plans and he not only laughed, but turned my world upside down.
It was the middle of my senior year of high school, right before Christmas, and I had all my college plans in place. I knew exactly where I was going that fall and what I was doing that summer. But I had not surrendered any of these plans to God, and I was making theses decisions solely on my own.
Right before the end of first semester, one of my friends died. The shock of his death made me question and rethink every aspect of life. Where was I heading? What affect would I make on the world? Was I doing Gods will?
God used this time of mourning and reassessment to get my attention to HIS plan for my life. He showed me that I should go to a smaller school in the fall and follow His calling to India. Even though these plans were more difficult than my original plans, God has guided me through each of these new changes.
Gods plan for our life is greater than any that we could come up with ourselves, and we need to trust in Him for guidenance
Sorry this took me over a month to get up.
